Privacy policy

Backboard is a comic collection app in development. Right now this website only collects what you give us when you join the waitlist. This page explains what that is, why we keep it, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Your survey answers, if you choose to give them: whether you collect raw or graded books, which app you use now, and what frustrates you about it.
We don't use analytics, ad trackers or tracking cookies on this site.
Why we collect it
- To email you about Backboard: progress updates, beta invites and the launch.
- To decide what to build, using the survey answers.
We'll never sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Who handles it
Signups are stored by Netlify, which hosts this site. If we start sending emails through an email service, your address will be stored there too, only for sending you Backboard updates. Fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If Backboard never launches, we'll delete the waitlist.
Your choices
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
- To see, correct or delete what we have about you, email us at backboardcomics@gmail.com and we'll take care of it within 30 days.
Children
The waitlist is for people 13 and older. If you think a child under 13 has signed up, email us and we'll delete their information.
Changes
When the app launches, we'll update this policy to cover what the app collects, and we'll email the waitlist about any important changes.
